During the February half term the museum experienced unprecedented visitor figures, with 1886 & 1556 people coming to see us on the Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
While we love that so many people wish to see us, we appreciate that the high number of visitors meant that some people were forced to queue for periods and that at times it was uncomfortably busy inside. Moving forward to the Easter holidays we will be monitoring visitor numbers closely inside the museum and ensuring that numbers are kept to safe and comfortable levels.
This may mean we have to stop people coming inside at times, so we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding in advance.
It would also be a huge help if visitors with very young children would consider alternatives to prams where possible during the holidays. Whilst we want to be as accommodating as possible we do not have proper storage facilities for prams within the museum.
